As some of you on this site know, I'm more of a tournament player. I think I've played in the woods twice in my entire paintball life haha.

Looking at the different Types of Paintball in this forum makes me think. . .what are the main differences between Woodsball, Scenario and Milsim?   All I know is that woodsball is outside in the woods    Still I'm sure that there are some big differences that I don't know about.

So if someone(s) could post up their ideas that would be great, thanks.

-Woodsball is just paintball played in the woods regardless if you use a tourney or milsim marker.

-Scenario paintball is basically a large scale woodsball game with a main objective and side missions, again markers do not matter as many tourney style players attend these events.

-Milsim paintball is the whole 9 yards, military simulation. Milsim style weapon, camo, vest, boots and etc.

hope this helps.

A Scenario game is molded around a theme like the movie Eragon, you have dragon riders, wizards to cast spells, you have props like a dragon egg, bag of fairy dust, and so on.  The game follows a basic story line, the red team are the bad guys trying to destroy the realm ( I'm trying not to geek out too bad! ), the blue team is trying to prtect, and so on.

A Milsim game is molded around actual military battles, D-Day ( WWII ), Blackhawk Down ( Somalia ), Saving Private Ryan ( WWII ), not so much the story line but the battle itself.

Woodsball is what Red said!
