Renaissance (pg 2)

Several of us, Purged shall we say, from Team Browncoats are pooling our intellectual talents and diverse experience to prepare the framework for a new team. I've received a couple of offers from others to join their teams, good solid teams, and should also mention that a couple of good people have expressed the opinion that my taking our dispute with the Supulver's public has or will hurt my standing or potential with many in our paintball community. I take that seriously, but feel comfortable with taking some heat, "let right be done" remains a guiding principal for me although I recognize that opinions will differ with one viewpoint or another.

Why not take one of the offers to join a team ?  Partly it's related to that viewpoint I'm respectfully weighing that my choosing to openly critique the leadership of my former team is just a bad idea; bad form, "airing dirty laundry", likely to turn off newbies - that my approach makes me look combative or vindictive, destructive, "a hater'" perhaps. I'm afraid my dispute with the 'core group' of Team Browncoats will not fall by the wayside anytime soon and would be a significant impediment for another team if I were to attach to them, I've lived paintball for years as a 'solo' and I can return to that status as need be. A good option is to keep existing friendships, with the added bond of our recent common experience, and build a new team, one begun with the premise that it's a common endeavor worthy of continuity and not the unalterable fiefdom of some lord and master.

I feel it is time that I weigh in on this as it is a public event with our name attached to it.  As a sponsor of teams that apply through the waves of the internet, we would rarely have any opportunity to even meet any of our sponsored players or teams personnally.  We rely solely on the information we see on the application, what we hear and what is written.  I fully respect your opinions and desire to let people know about your displeasure with your past team.

Our stance on this is that we are not Nike with Tiger Woods and we do not wish anyone, no matter what side of the dispute you are on, to make a mistake and think Red Dot Paintball is taking a side.  We have a simple approach.  As long as the Browncoats_AZ are continuing to promote us and complete their tasks as a sponsored team, we will continue to leave our sponsorship in tact.

In addition, as past  member of the Browncoats_az, we have offered your new team, should you put one together, a sponsorship with us as we feel we have no place in this other to continue supporting paintball and those that love to play the game.  I am quite sure that you have supported us in the past and we are there to support you in the future.

Best regards,

Tim
