Several of us, Purged shall we say, from Team Browncoats are pooling our intellectual talents and diverse experience to prepare the framework for a new team. I've received a couple of offers from others to join their teams, good solid teams, and should also mention that a couple of good people have expressed the opinion that my taking our dispute with the Supulver's public has or will hurt my standing or potential with many in our paintball community. I take that seriously, but feel comfortable with taking some heat, "let right be done" remains a guiding principal for me although I recognize that opinions will differ with one viewpoint or another.
Why not take one of the offers to join a team ? Partly it's related to that viewpoint I'm respectfully weighing that my choosing to openly critique the leadership of my former team is just a bad idea; bad form, "airing dirty laundry", likely to turn off newbies - that my approach makes me look combative or vindictive, destructive, "a hater'" perhaps. I'm afraid my dispute with the 'core group' of Team Browncoats will not fall by the wayside anytime soon and would be a significant impediment for another team if I were to attach to them, I've lived paintball for years as a 'solo' and I can return to that status as need be. A good option is to keep existing friendships, with the added bond of our recent common experience, and build a new team, one begun with the premise that it's a common endeavor worthy of continuity and not the unalterable fiefdom of some lord and master.
