New Salvo US Army Paintball Marker
Posted On 05/31/2009 11:07:22 by RedDotPaintball

Here is the announcement and pictures of Tippmann's new Alpha Black Salvo Model.

We are excited to release the new U.S. Army Paintball Marker - Project Salvo™…an exciting new marker from U.S. Army Paintball featuring a six position collapsible and foldable stock, an AR-15 style shroud with four built-in Picatinny rails and a new AR-15 style magazine that doubles as a helpful toolkit. The marker also incorporates a flat-top Picatinny rail built into the receiver, which makes it simple for players to quickly add a handle, site, scope or a variety of other modifications.

As an added benefit, the Project Salvo marker can be easily enhanced with an eGrip™ as well as several other performance upgrades from the Tippmann 98 Custom® Platinum Series, including: the Cyclone™ Feed System, Response™ Trigger and Flatline™ barrel.

Much like Alpha Black™, the name selected for this new marker is rooted in U.S. Military history. Project Salvo was a series of tests conducted by the U.S. Army’s Operations Research Office (ORO) from the mid to late 1950s. The research obtained through Project Salvo helped lead to the development of the AR-15, which would go on to become the M-16 – widely considered among the most respected and proven rifles ever utilized by the United States armed forces.

Here is some news coming as written by Tippmann,

Quote:

Last week Tippmann launched the TPX; next week U.S. Army Paintball has something new.

Just to peak your interest, this new marker is:

·        Customizable, upgradable and affordable

·        Durable, reliable and of course, made by Tippmann

·        What the scenario player wanted and what you and other dealers wanted even more

Here are just a few of the comments from some of our testers of the exciting new marker…

This marker is going to turn some heads.  I believe this marker is taking customization to the next level. With the huge popularity of Military First Person Shooters like Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare and Ghost Recon, this is the look players have been waiting for.

That looks AMAZING! A lower-priced marker that can be modded almost limitlessly? I can’t imagine why Tippmann won’t sell a million of them!

Wow! Another head-turner so quickly.  Visually very impressive.  A great way to draw new players in, or encourage people to expand their marker collection.

I look forward to sharing this release with you on Monday.

Nick, the literature says it takes the standard US Army Egrip already offered for the Alpha Blacks.  They are already in stock.
